ABOUT RYLEE

Rylee Pay is an announcer, host, and commentator in her second season with the Tacoma Rainiers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. In 2025, Rylee made history becoming the first woman to be a lead play-by-play voice in Triple-A baseball. With the Rainiers, she calls all 150 games of the regular season on KIXI880AM. She is one of three women currently working in a play-by-play role in Minor League Baseball.

Prior to Tacoma, Rylee was a broadcast and media relations assistant with the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Her and Emma Tiedemann formed the first all female booth in Double-A baseball while forming just the second in all of professional affiliated baseball in 2023. In 2024, they became the first female voices to provide play-by-play for the Boston Red Sox in team history on NESN. She also anchors and produces sports radio for "The Sports Flash" year-round.

Rylee graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in May of 2023 where she obtained a degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a concentration in Sports Media. With UNLV, she interned in the strategic communications sector of the Athletic Department where she worked directly with UNLV baseball as a PA announcer, emcee, and assistant to the SID. Her work with the sports information department involved assisting in social media management and media relations year-round. Rylee also served as a PA announcer for UNLV softball along with men's and women's soccer. She represented the university as a student-athlete and four-year member/captain of the UNLV Pom Team while also serving as a SAAC representative for the program.

Rylee interned with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters of the Northwoods Collegiate League as an emcee and marketing intern in the summer of 2021 before serving as a broadcaster with the Cotuit Kettleers in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League in 2022.

As a Las Vegas native, her love of sports began at a young age after attending countless Runnin' Rebels basketball games with her dad. Along the way, she developed a love of baseball by flipping through her great grandpa's scorebook. When she's not at a ballpark, Rylee enjoys hiking, spending time at the beach, traveling, and of course... watching more sports.
